Maya La Chocolaterie

  1. Sells you hot chocolate that’s just heated milk

  2. A lovely premium quality chocolate cafe. The serve a selection of chocolate desserts and drinks, in addition to selling chocolates. The cafe is quiet and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the mall, so a great option when you need a quiet break. The design is warm and inviting, with many design details.

It was a joy to discover, as I am an avid chocolate lover. On my first visit, I tried the chocolate fondant which is served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and stuck to this order ever since. I order a cappuccino to go with it. The chocolate is delicious and the fondant tastes fresh, although a bit rich. The ice cream is fragrant with pronounced vanilla flavor and is also very delicious. However, as it is a bit rich, it’s better as a dessert to be shared. The cappuccino is very good and has an earthy flavor.

My sister recently tried a crepe and absolutely loved it. She said the crepe batter was excellent and the chocolate was superb as usual.

The service is very good, but the fondant takes some time to be ready.

This was my go to cafe when in Seef mall for a long time. Definitely worth a try for chocolate lovers.

  3. The chocolate is good but they got the worse service, table outside and no waiters assigned for this area. If you have shortages of staff close the area out side to let your waiter’s to serve one side.

Really bad service with servants with attitudes toward the customers
At least give them some training to respect the customers.

  4. There was a bug in the tea I ordered. Most disgusting thing ever (sorry for the picture, but just wanted to prove). They only offered to pay my bill which wasn’t big. But it does make me question their cleanliness. I tried to call authorities but they didn’t help. Hope officials do an inspection on the place soon.
